This series consists of a record of the general accounts of the Branch Bank. The types of general accounts recorded are the cash, state tax fund, Bank furniture, bills of exchange, discount received, interest received, profits and losses, protests, notes in transition, the State Bank and its Branches, out-of-state banks such as the New York Merchants' Bank, the Planters' and Merchants' Bank of Mobile, and several other general accounts. The accounts record debit and credit balances, the date, itemization of transactions, the amount, and the method of payment.
